Hi friends!
2022 is the year of kicking goals so we have decided that this year we will be running in the New York Marathon to raise funds for Little Heroes Foundation.
Both of us have never run a marathon, so we thought it was fitting to make New York our first... having a huge goal feels even better when you have a reason to do it...
Little Heroes Foundation raises funds towards children experiencing mental and physical illness.
Since 1996 Little Heroes Foundation (formerly MMF) has raised in excess of $38 million, the majority used to upgrade lifesaving facilities at Adelaide’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Recently Little Heroes Foundation has partnered with Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation for their “Big Talks for Little People” program - an online mental health module for primary school age students within South Australia and the Northern Territory. The last 2 years have taken a massive toll on the mental health of so many South Australians, especially children, so there is a great need in this area.
LHF continue to watch their traditional area of support, children with cancer and serious illness, to see if there are any new opportunities or areas of need - there are many upcoming projects that they will be continuing to support to provide children with the best possible care.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly to my charity of choice.

Little Heroes Foundation Incorporated
In 27 years of operation, Little Heroes Foundation has raised close to $40 million - the majority going towards purchasing lifesaving equipment at Adelaide’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital and providing daily support to families through the Little Heroes Care Program. Little Heroes is also pleased to announce a new partnership with the Childhood Dementia Initiative. There are almost 90 deaths each year from this illness, yet little is known about the 70 different variants of this condition. The Foundation is currently running the campaign ‘Raise it for Renee’, supporting a South Australian mum with all three of her children experiencing the devastating impacts of terminal childhood dementia. Little Heroes has committed $50,000 to support Renee and families like hers. In conjunction with this campaign we are also funding a PhD student in Professor Kim Hemsley's team at Flinders University to assist them with finding potential treatments and cures for childhood dementia.
Our partnership with Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation continues to grow through our Big Talks for Little People campaign, along with a new commitment towards an Eating Disorder Facility to be built here in South Australia.
